We believe in fostering the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.
We engage parents actively in their children's education, reinforcing lessons learned in the classroom.
We empower schools and teachers with tools and strategies for a successful, inclusive classroom.
The MTA Leadership Program is designed to assist students with academics and personal growth, focusing on improving academic performance, transitioning negative behaviors into positive actions, and enhancing overall self-esteem. Through a combination of mentoring, parental support, structured physical fitness activities, and evidence-based strategies like Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS), the program aims to foster effective communication, teamwork, responsibility, commitment, perseverance, and problem-solving in students.
Parental engagement is a cornerstone of the MTA Leadership Program. We believe in actively involving parents in their children’s education by offering specially designed curriculum and training sessions. These cover topics like effective communication strategies, understanding and managing children’s behaviors, and fostering a home-school connection. Additionally, our program aligns with California’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals related to parent engagement, communication, and decision-making.
MTA offers a robust selection of professional development workshops and training sessions designed to enhance classroom management strategies, foster student engagement, and support teachers’ ongoing growth. Topics include “Classroom Management for the 21st Century,” “Building Resilience in Students,” “Effective Conflict Resolution,” and “Strength-Based Programming.” We also collaborate with teachers to develop comprehensive, evidence-based curriculums and offer in-class support and observations.
MTA’s goals align closely with state and district objectives, such as improving literacy, embracing diversity, creating safe and inclusive learning environments, and implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Our program is flexible, offering both school-based and community-based programs conducted before, during, and after school settings. We establish bonds, set rules and standards, and follow a fair, firm, and consistent approach, tailored to the specific needs of participating students, parents, and schools.
